26 Sep Preparing for the Future of Jesuit university collaboration

On Friday evening 21 September, an intimate group of Gregorian University Foundation Trustees, Benefactors and Friends, including HIRH Archduke Carl von Hapsburg-Lothringen and his wife, HIRH Annie-Claire, and the Very Rev. Juan Antonio Guerrero Alves SJ, the Superior General’s Personal Delegate to the Roman houses and works, gathered at White Oaks, the gracious home of Australian Ambassador Joe Hockey and his wife, Melissa Babbage, in Washington DC.  This delightful evening was an opportunity to highlight the mission of the Foundation and its role in promoting Jesuit higher education as was noted by the Archduke in his talk. President Fr Alan Fogarty SJ spoke of the importance of reaching into the past, especially at this time in Church history, and planning for a future of Jesuit university collaboration and global impact. Ambassador Hockey reminded all “to give generously to this worthy cause.”
