Priest chaplain at Howard University says drawing on faith, learning history can foster racial understanding, healing
“… I’m also hopeful in this position that I have as chaplain at Howard University to work with young people, to see their enthusiasm, their activism, their wanting to get involved and to have their voices heard, to make a difference and to make the society that they live in now that’s more fair, more just, that’s more secure, and that gives everyone the dignity that they deserve, to be who they are.”
As a 2017 graduate of the Pontifical Gregorian University, we are proud of the work Fr. Boxie III is doing at Howard University. His perspectives on the Black Catholic experience and his hopes for a more just future are a reflection of his faith and dedication to social justice and equality.
