On September 13th the GUF hosted “Cocktails & Conversation” at the USA East Province of the Society of Jesus. GUF Chairman, Bill Whelan, thanked all for coming out, especially the Host Committee: Marissa & Richard Blackett, Marilyn & Bill Frank, Maureen Fullam, Peggy Hassett, Fr Michael Hilbert, SJ, Ellen & Bob Shafer, and George Spera. Though guests had to listen in between helicopters and cheers from the nearby Met Gala, they enjoyed hearing from Greg alumni on their experiences in Rome and now in service in the US: Fr Hilbert, SJ (STB ’83, JCL ’85, JCD ’89), Fr Peter Heasley (STB ’12, STL ’14, STD ’19) and Fr Ryan Muldoon (STB ’18).
One guest shared, “I loved the evening. The priests who spoke were amazing. I am Jesuit educated and this is such an important mission.”
