Br. Brent Gordon, SJ grew up around Orlando, Florida and attended Florida State University where he was baptized as a Catholic. Before joining the Society of Jesus in 2018, he taught Religion and Writing to sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students at a parish school in North Palm Beach. As a Jesuit, Brent enrolled in Saint Louis University for the doctoral program in Early Modern History and is writing a dissertation on the history of Jesuit lay brothers in the 16th and 17th centuries. He is currently in Rome where he works for IHSI Publications, the publishing house of the Roman Archives of the Society of Jesus.
