Dr. Sr. Mary Makamatine Lembo is a Togolese religious sister of the Congregation of Saint Catherine of Alexandria and currently serves as Vicar General of her congregation. She holds a Master’s degree in Science of Education, specializing in pedagogy for school management and professional training, from the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome (2001-2005). She later pursued advanced studies in psychology at the Pontifical Gregorian University, earning a Licentiate (2005-2009) and a PhD (2014-2019) with a doctoral thesis focused on the prevention of sexual abuse of consecrated women.
With extensive experience in human formation, training, and accompaniment of seminarians, religious, priests, and formators, Sr. Mary has dedicated her work to safeguarding and protection within the Church. Since 2014, she has collaborated with the Center for Child Protection (CCP)—now the Institute of Anthropology of Dignity and Care (IADC)—at the Pontifical Gregorian University, contributing to research, teaching, and pedagogical accompaniment.
